AP Computer Science with Java

CSR-420

Duration: September - June, 4 hours per week

AP Computer Science with Java is a fast-paced year-long course designed to help students master the basics of Java and prepare them to successfully pass the AP Computer Science A Exam at the end of the school year. The curriculum has been pre-approved by College Board's AP Course Audit as meeting or exceeding the curricular expectations colleges and universities have for this subject.

This course is intended for high school students who are ready for a challenging programming class. While there are no official prerequisites for the AP Computer Science with Java course, students are recommended to have taken an introductory level computer science class rather than starting at the AP level.  Recommended prerequisites include CSR-300 or CSR-340.
