Dave Horrigan

Founder, Teacher

Dave Horrigan earned a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT. He started his career in software systems consulting with Price Waterhouse and Computer Sciences Corporation and then worked at a number of start-up and global software companies doing software development, software product management, and technical training. Most recently he has managed software services organizations delivering full-life-cycle software implementation projects and software education services to customers ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. In starting CS Recitations, he is pursuing his passion for computer science and education by offering new and expanded computer science learning opportunities to today's students.

Peter Spyropoulos


Peter Spyropoulos earned a BS in Mathematics from Tufts University and an MS in Computer Science from Boston University. Passionate about mathematics, he started his career in software development and continued with interesting assignments in international technical support and consulting services at Stratus Technologies. Most recently Peter successfully developed and managed life-cycle management practices for Alcatel-Lucent's hardware maintenance services organization. Especially when the weather in New England is nice, Peter enjoys taking advantage of the outdoors by running, biking and hiking.

Holly Horrigan

Principal, Teacher

Holly Horrigan earned a BS in Economics from MIT. She began her career on Wall Street as an analyst and financial engineer. Her achievements in the industry include several publications and two patents related to statistical modeling. Holly is a licensed teacher of mathematics and has taught math to elementary, middle, and high school students in the public schools and at the Russian School of Mathematics in Framingham. In her spare time, Holly enjoys hiking in the White Mountains and trying new recipes.

Josh Phillips


Joshua Phillips received his B.S. in Computer Science and his B.A. in Digital Arts from the Stevens Institute of Technology. When Josh is not teaching at CS Recitations, he is an indie game developer.

Kit Koeneman


Kit Koeneman earned an MSci in Information Security from Royal Holloway, a satellite campus of the University of London situated in the town of Egham from which Dr Seuss got inspiration for his 1960 best seller Green Eggs and Ham. When Kit is not teaching, he can be found sticking to his American roots, practicing guitar for open mics or underneath his Jeep trying to keep it up and running.

We emphasize algorithmic thinking and creative problem solving.
